Step 1 – New User Registration

Candidates can initiate the NEET UG counselling 2024 registration by clicking on the provided link. During this step, they need to furnish details such as the preferred stream (Medical/Dental), NEET UG roll number, application number, candidate’s name, birth date, and security pin. After providing these details, they should click on the ‘Submit’ button. An agreement page will appear, offering the options ‘I Agree’ or ‘I Don’t Agree.’ If candidates wish to proceed with the application process, they need to click on ‘I Agree.’ The login credentials will then be displayed, and candidates should make a note of them, along with the password protected by a security question.

Step 2 – Submission of Personal Details

During this stage of NEET UG counselling 2024, candidates are required to provide additional details such as mother’s name, father’s name, and the candidate’s address. After entering these details, candidates should click on the ‘Submit’ button. It’s essential to note that these details cannot be altered later, so they should match the information on the documents to be submitted during admission.

Step 3 – Payment for Counselling

Candidates need to make payments for non-refundable registration and refundable tuition fees during this step. The fees can be paid through various online modes like Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. The specific amounts are detailed in the table below for candidates’ reference.

Step 4 – Registration Slip

Upon the successful submission of details, a registration slip will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are advised to print this slip as it will be crucial for the subsequent admission process. To proceed further, click on the ‘Login’ button.

Step 5 – Available Choices

The ‘Available Choices’ link becomes active when the counselling process begins. On the left side of the screen, candidates will see the available choices. Those who have submitted fees for both 15% All India Quota/Central Universities and Deemed Universities can apply for both categories of seats.

Step 6 – Selecting the Choices

Candidates should click on the ‘+’ button next to each preference to make selections. As choices are picked, they will move from the left side of the screen to the right. After making selections, candidates need to click ‘Save & Continue’ or ‘Save & Go to Home Page’ to proceed or save the options and exit.

Candidates can rearrange, remove, or delete choices. Arrows can be used to move choices up or down, and the delete option removes the selected choice. Candidates can also click on a choice, drag it to another preference, and interchange choices.

Step 7 – Choice Locking

Locking choices is mandatory for the final submission of preferences in NEET UG 2022 counselling. Choices can be modified until they are locked. If candidates fail to lock choices, the filled options will be considered final and will automatically lock on the specified date.

Step 8 – Take a Printout

It is recommended to print the filled choices, as it could be useful in further NEET UG counselling. Even if choices are not locked, candidates can print the preference details after the choice locking process concludes.

Step 9 – Seat Allotment

After each counselling round, the seat allotment results will be declared. The NEET counselling result, presented as the seat allotment list and seat allotment letter, reveals the allocated seat. Candidates can check details such as their name, roll number, allotted category, candidates’ category, allotted college, quota, and course. The seat allotment letter is a vital document to be submitted during reporting to the allotted college along with other mandatory documents.

Step 10 – Reporting to the Allotted College

Candidates must report to the allotted college to complete admission formalities. At the reporting stage, candidates need to submit the original copies of the required documents.

Documents Required at the time of Admission 2024

For admission to undergraduate medical courses, candidates need to provide original documents along with attested photocopies at the time of joining in the allotted Medical/Dental College. The required documents include:

  1. NEET 2024 Admit Cards of Exam issued by NTA.
  2. NEET 2024 Result/Rank letter issued by NTA.
  3. Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same).
  4. Class 10th Certificate.
  5. Class 10+2 Certificate.
  6. Class 10+2 Marks Sheet.
  7. Eight (8) Passport size photographs (same as affixed on the application form).
  8. Provisional allotment letter generated online.
  9. Proof of identity (Aadhar/PAN/Driving Licence/Passport).

If applicable:

  • SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority. The certificate should be in English or Hindi, and sub-caste should be clearly mentioned. If in a regional language, an attested translated copy in English/Hindi is required.
  • OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should match the Central List of OBC, and candidates must not belong to the Creamy Layer. The certificate must be in the standard format mentioned in the prospectus/Information Bulletin.
  • Disability Certificate issued by a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act 2016 (RPWD Act, 2016). No other PH certificate from any other Authority/Hospital will be accepted.

Candidates are advised to refer to the Information Bulletin of AIPMT/NEET for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for detailed information. Candidates without original certificates/documents will not be allowed to take admission, and those who have deposited their original documents elsewhere will not be permitted to take admission in the allotted Medical/Dental College.
